Main scientific emphasis of phaenovum – Schülerforschungszentrum Lörrach-Dreiländereck e.V. (the phaenovum Student Research Center of Lörrach and the Tri-border Region)
A country's or region's competitive edge doesn't come from a research lab, it begins in its classrooms. All experts are well aware of the fact that, in the past, practical schooling offered far too few opportunities to provide job-oriented scientific teaching. Opportunities for students to conduct fun experiments or for trying out innovative ways of effectively conveying information were few and far between.
phaenovum was specifically planned using a cross-border, tri-national, interdisciplinary approach: the aim is to promote contact among students from Germany, France and Switzerland during joint scientific and technical experiments in weekly excellence courses, block weekends or one-week holiday courses.
