Financing

The foundation of phaenovum in Lörrach is an effort based on a public-private partnership which has so far been nothing short of impressive: voluntary work by private individuals, financial support from commercial enterprises and partners from throughout the region, approval for teaching hours by the State of Baden-Württemberg as well as financial support and personal commitment from the City of Lörrach.

Financial support for phaenovum's activities is based on a five-pillar system:

1. Teaching time is paid for by the State of Baden-Württemberg.
2. Facilities are provided by the City of Lörrach.
3. (Initial) scientific equipment is financed by means of donations and grants from foundations.
4. The portion of the operating expenses incurred by materials will be borne by partners from industry through student patronages of €2,500 per year:
